David Yetter is from Binghamton New York and was born in 1941. David started carving in 1985 after reading an article in the New York State Conservationist magazine. He was captivated by the lore and history, particularly about he Native American techniques for spear fishing. David had already been a carver for many years and now he decided to try "fish". Most of his decoys are in the Native American style, with minimal paint and natural materials.
Most recently, David has been using leather fins and artificial sinew, coupled with lead weighted bodies. David's decoys now are finished with natural stain and sealant, coupled with a bit of painting on the bodies.
