Ira started carving decoys in college when a friend asked him to carve a replica of a large brook trout, he had inadvertently eaten. Tonya started stealing Iras decoy blanks to make them prettier. It has now turned into a hobby our whole family gets involved in." Ira went on to say "
We have four kids, and the three youngest all have their own knives for carving".

Here is a commisioned item of Tonya's

This carving is 9 1/2" long and carved from cedar, painted with acrylics. It is doweled on a piece of maple. Several dried plants are coated with polycrylic. This was carved by Tonya Schram in February 2008.
