Carver

Lowell Johnson is from Minneapolis Minnesota and was born in 1937. Lowell wrote "In the early 1950\'s my dad taught me to make decoys and we would try them on lakes in east central Minnesota. I soon got bored with simple fish style decoys and started making critters and bugs. My first spider had a wood body and legs made of strips of tin from a coffee can - kind of dangerous now days!, but not back then. Now I want my decoys to be working, unique originals. I clear coat all polished metal parts and use the latest enamel paints to finish them. I do not belong to any organization, and I have not been to a decoy show."
