TYPE I
Solid wood with die-cut screw attached unpainted metal side fins with lead poured into drilled holes in the belly area. The eyes were carved and sprayed painted black. The line tie was a simple eye screw. The decoys were 7" long with both pike and sucker body forms. Two spray painted finishes were available on the sucker model, and one spray painted finish on the pike model. They were marketed in a two-piece cardboard box marked Ice King (1946-1948)
Type II
This decoy was hollow plastic with unpainted metal die-cut, screw attached side fins, and an integral lead ballast. Dorsal and anal fins, gills mouth, and eyes were integrally molded. Eyes were two-color spray painted. The line tie was a simple eye screw. This 6 1/2" long pike model was available in a variety of spray-painted finishes. It was the early model available with factory installed cheater hooks. It was marketed in a two piece cardboard box marked Ice King Spearing Decoy(1948-1950)
Type III
This decoy is a hollow plastic decoy and had and integral lead ballast and integrally molded plastic fins, line tie, gills, mouth and eyes. Eyes were two-color spray- painted. A 6" long pike model and a 4 3/4" and 6" sucker model in a variety of spray-painted finishes were available (1951-1983). Also a hollow plastic 5" long sucker with a variety of spry-painted finishes were available. They were marketed in a two-piece cardboard box marked Ice King Spearing Decoy (1960-1983)
Type IV
Type IV are hollow plastic decoys and they had unpainted metal die-cut screw-attached side fins and water ballast filling the decoy through holes in the body. Dorsal and anal fins, gill mouth and eyes were integrally molded. An 8" perch, 9" sucker and 10" pike were available in a variety of spry-painted finishes. The eyes were two-color spray painted. The line tie was a simple eye screw. They were marketed in a two-piece cardboard box marked Ice King Spearing Decoy (1960-1983)
