Enchantress was carved by Sheila Cates and is about 4' Tall and 2 1/2" wide.. She is carved from a single piece of basswood and her features are in great detail. Sheila dates and signs her work. Her husband works with her side-by-side, but he does exotic lures exclusively.  This is one of the most lovely hand carvings in the folk art area that I have every seen. I have been fortunate to have received numerous other items by both Sheila and Phillip Cates.
